WELCOME TO THE FOREST OF DEAN HOLIDAY COTTAGE
Tucked away in the heart of the Forest of Dean sits our charming holiday cottage. Surrounded by woodland it offers immediate access to miles of ancient forest. The cottage is located in a terrace of traditional stone cottages, once the home to colliers and foresters, it provides a rural retreat to unwind and relax.
Step outside the back gate and in any direction you will find cycle routes and walking paths, making it an ideal base for walkers, bikers and anyone keen to experience the natural beauty of the Forest of Dean.
The cottage offers you a warm welcome, cosy and characterful – a home from home. Inside, the kitchen is well equipped with appliances, crockery and utensils needed for preparing home-cooked food.
After days spent exploring the Forest, retreat to the cosy lounge, with French doors to the garden open in warmer weather, while a wood burner provides extra comfort for those colder evenings. Upstairs, guests will find two tranquil bedrooms – one king-size and one a twin. There is a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
Outside, the cottage features pretty enclosed gardens, and a sunny patio to sit and enjoy the Summer days, complete with a wildlife pond. Here you can watch the birds and the insects, and maybe glimpse a newt coming up for air. The garden provides a peaceful setting for alfresco meals or a quiet drink at the end of the day.
